General Information about the NYC Wrestling Showcase

The NYC Wrestling Showcase (informally known as "The Showcase") that will take place on June 19, 2010, is the second incarnation of the first and original Showcase that took place on January 23, 2010, as a joint effort between Doom Maidens Wrestling and the Grapple Den Wrestling Party.

The Showcase is a female and mixed wrestling event that consists of several "Super Fights" featuring the female wrestling "Super Stars" that have been invited to attend. All of the Super Fights are competitive in nature, unless otherwise noted for showmanship / demonstration / presentational purposes. The wrestling and grappling is athletic in style and very real.

Unlike a wrestling party, the Showcase is intended as a viewing event, rather than a participatory event. The Super Fights are announced prior to the event, and each Super Fight is assigned a start time. Audience members who arrive during a given Super Fight will not be seated until there is a break in the action.

Super Fights consist of either of the following:
* Three 5-minute rounds, for a total of 15 minutes of grappling. OR
* Three 6-minute rounds, for a total of 18 minutes. OR
* Two 5-minute rounds, for a total of 10 minutes.

Super Fights will be female vs female or mixed matches.
All Super Fights will be video taped by the official Showcase videographer. NO unsanctioned photography or videography is permitted during any Showcase Super Fight.

The June 19, 2010, Showcase is being presented by VeVe Lane and Doom Maidens Wrestling. For a listing of Showcase wrestlers, please click on "The Super Stars" button. For answers to questions, please contact us.
