"Oh, I was getting crushed less than I thought," was VeVe's comment when she watched this match back afterwards -- which is to say that these two gave each other so much hell that no matter who was on the top or the bottom, attacking or defending, it felt like being crushed the whole time! These were two very spirited, very fit, and very determined fighters going at it -- VeVe with a huge experience advantage (almost 20 years wrestling), Alder with a huge height and reach advantage (6'4" to VeVe's 5'4"), and neither one afraid to dish out or deal with some rough treatment. The match is intense and athletic but good-spirited -- these two are happy to mix it up with a challenging opponent.

This is Alder's debut match at Doom Maidens. He has a bit of off-and-on jiujitsu experience, excellent over-all fitness, and an infuriating resistance to tapping out. But VeVe has the wily skill to counter most of his advantages, the grit to handle getting tossed a time or two, and a relentless submission arsenal. She ekes out a win and claims her victory round -- his punishment round -- full of scissors, facesitting, and testing this lanky newcomer's flexibility. With a victory pose at the end, of course!
